Check out DiscoveryBound’s roster of Winter Weekends happening this January and February in California, Oregon, Colorado, and New Hampshire at http://www.discoverybound.org.
January 14, 2012 at 11:01 am #53395Thanks for posting this, Jen! I know they’re all going to be such great events. The Oregon weekend at Mt. Hood is shaping up to be a great opportunity to be fresh and dive into some new friendships, some new activities – definetly bringing my snowboard and snowshoes! – and a great theme running through. I’ve been really enjoying considering the theme, actually, (which centers on the Bible verse about dropping every weight that holds us back, and running with endurance the race that’s set ahead of us) and its really been blessing my daily experience, as well as being neat prep for the weekend itself. What is that race we are running? Who decides what it is? Can my progress on it be compared to another’s? Really grateful for this theme :-)
Lookin forward to seeing many folks there, old friends and new! If you’ve never done a DB event before, and you live ANYWHERE near the PNW, definitely consider coming out – love to get to know you! Thankfully, there are events scattered all across the country, so I’m sure there’s one somewhere you could get to ;-)

August 3, 2012 at 5:59 pm #66809Calling all teens! The DiscoveryBound Focus on Sports event is just around the corner: August 31-September 3. It will be held in Utah (where the 2002 Winter Olympics were hosted!), and we will spend time playing at the Olympic Park (zip lining and bobsledding!), talking with Christian Science sports professionals, and participating in a relay or individual triathlon. All of this, of course, will be done with fellow CS high schoolers. If you are going into 8th-12th grades this year, we really hope you’ll come join us, and your non-CS friends are welcome to attend too!
Check out the DB website for more information and online registration, and “like” the DiscoveryBound Facebook page to be up on all the latest news.
See you in Utah!
