    In this weeks bible lesson it talks about praying and fasting. There are many places in the bible that talks about people fasting and I know that in the Islam faith – they are going through Ramadan right now, so I was just wondering if any knows if Mary Baker Eddy ever fasted or if she talks about it anywhere.

     

    Does anyone have any insights on praying and fasting?

    Fasting, to me has nothing to do with eating or not eating food. Fasting is the process of ridding oneself of wrong material thinking about everything and purifying thought. Dropping thoughts of  jealousness, hate, revenge, etc. for thoughts of love, compassion, forgiveness, etc.
