It seems to me like many of the things Selmanovic talks about are things we take for granted, as CS’sts.

And while I haven’t read the book, like you have, the impression that I get from him is that he grew up in an environment with the mentality that “religion = isolation”, and his approach now is a bit of a backlash toward that, and is maybe a bit fearful of isolation. Yet I know that both are important — isolation as well as integration. It’s sometimes when we have our biggest breakthroughs when we are truly alone with God. But we do absolutely need that fellowship, too.
