Learning to be happy

Susie Jostyn was someone who “had it all” in college, but she didn’t feel that way.  In fact, she was so miserable inside that she contemplated suicide.  In one very dark moment she reached out to God and what she heard changed everything.  Susie’s got 6 things to think about for you to feel genuine happiness, too.

Thanks for the lovely talk Susie I like to think that as God’s children we reflect Life and death is not a part of God’s creation.

For those who wander why I spell Life with a capital L it is because Life is one of the seven synonyms for God that Mary Baker Eddy gives of her definition of God in Science and Health in the chapter Recapitulation on page 465.

This piece really spoke to my heart this morning. Thank you Susie!

Thank you for being willing to share, and for taking the time to reflect on your insights gained. I will pass this on!

    Lovely!!! :)

Love love love this. Thank you! Just one little nit … she shares 6 things to think about, not 8. At least as I heard it. But that text in the intro above is easily fixed. The talk itself? Fabulous.

I think the “8xBlessed” thing refers to what she said about the beatitudes, that Jesus started his Sermon saying 8 reasons why we’re blessed.

But yeah, I totally agree with you that this talk is amazing. I’m bookmarking it for later use.
