I love hearing Janet tell of this experience. I love it because she not only tamed the wild animals but tamed the wild beliefs about women. She fulfilled the river Gihon of acknowledging the rights of woman morally, civilly and socially in the desert with wolves and the men. I have found a book titled Kinship with all Life by Boone, a book of the past, very helpful in looking at our relationship and connection with the creatures around us. It is a connection of respect in acknowledging the qualities each owns from God which has authority over the general held thought of the animal. That’s what Janet evidenced. I’ve had experiences like that with my horse in responding to the presence of Love that calmed him and me in running through an electric barbed wire fence one evening. Healed me of hoof print on my face and a bleeding head. Thanks, for this new website.
What I love about this podcast is how it shows how one Radical Act can spur on another one.
I was in California when I heard this one…at a retreat center that had signs about mountain lions throughout. A friend who lives in the area told me to be careful. I said, “Well, they probably don’t go into the parking lot.” “Oh yes, they do.” I was nervous the first night as I was walking back to my car late. I saw a large animal in the distance and then I was freaked out.
The next day I listened to this podcast and was reminded that I have something I can rely on (God!) and I don’t have to be afraid.
Not a big radical act on my part, but the fear left. Maybe someday I’ll have another story to share.
WOW! I’ve heard Janet tell about her experience with the wild dogs, and never tire of hearing how she calmed that situation. But I’d not heard the one about the little girl in Australia! Talk about a radical act!! Thanks, Janet!
This is such a natural example of how simple prayer is. Beginning all our days first thing, with our Bible Lesson and daily prayer (s),is truly grounding and sets the tone for me, and a great many others. Continuing our day led by the simple beaitiful God-given thought leads the way through any experience, as was so clearly demonstrated here!
I am eternally grateful for all that Mrs. Eddy has done for us to bring is this Science of Life… making it accessible to us all. “All is infinite Mind and it’s infinite manifestation, for God is All, in all.”
Pure joy! Thanks for sharing this precious experience!
What a beautiful story!! WOW! Thank you!!
I loved the fact that you did not “preach down”, but got on the same level to reach the receptive thought in the wilderness. Those who “elevate themselves” physically, by climbing trees (to get above others)or mentally setting themselves on a wall (looking down on you as less significant due to gender or religion) were powerless to resolve the situation. Humpty Dumpty learned that lesson the hard way. It would seem the other “chaplains” were just wolves in sheep’s clothing. Thanks for proving the word of God reaches out and works on all levels.
Thank you for such a wonderful account. I love the animals… even tough ones. For one thing, they show us very clearly that God’s law is shared without mutual spoken language. They are quite connected to our “lead” toward good which transcends our chosen words. Well done. Being prepared for the task at hand.
WoW!!!
This will be great for our VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL which we will be having in our church next week! We are studying “Daniel in the Lions’ Den” as part of our lesson. This is a modern day “Daniel in the Lions’ Den.” Three Cheers for your broadcast!

Awesome story. Thanks for sharing this.
I loved this story, and that it helped you gain respect with the people that you were trying to reach. thanks for sharing it, well done to the Sunday School teacher for sharing the story with her student at the right time :) It’s amazing the lessons that can be learnt in Sunday School. Thank you.
Am in awe of the clarity and the practicality of that bible verse you used on that particular moment, that you were faced with this so called temptation, divine Mind is the only Mind there is,and if we listen to his guidance well,he leads the way and no harm can came our way .He(God)made every thing and behold it was vert good.
Thanks to you for holding your thoughts so still and following the lords lead.
Janet, what a great story! Thank you so much for sharing. It made me think of the idea is Genesis that God gave man dominion over all the beasts of the field, so for that beast to be governed by man for good is actually its most natural state and most perfect state of fulfillment.
What a great opportunity God placed in front of you that day (and in front of the little girl later on) to demonstrate man’s dominion, and what a great opportunity for those wild animals to be governed – to see what God created for them!
