That is definitely true! In the beginning it was pretty much entirely up to major record labels on which musicians got heard. They of course abused this privilege and where too stubborn to adapt to the new culture, which is the main reason why they have shrunken drastically over the past decade. Of course the internet was to blame for this and as much as it can be seen as a bad thing it is really a true blessing because like you said everyone has equal opportunity now to share there talents with the world. The public is in charge now as far as what they want to listen too and I feel that more and more they will want to hear music that is well done and has an important meaning for them in their lives.
I can imagine a String Orchestra within the sounds, not just an analogue keyboard – and I think you did too when you put the piece together? The whole work stands up as a really mature piece and I loved hearing your mix, the textures, the birdsong and the repeating sequence. Without drums the language of the piece unfolds and continues on its own adventure, free from inhibiting rhythms and I love the way you chose sequences to create ‘flow’. Lovely.
Yes I did imagine a string orchestra, a well as a real drum and percussion track. The beauty of how this piece got put together was that divine mind was with me every step of the way, giving me a clearer understanding of how it should go. Even though I had a basic idea from the beginning the whole piece basically unfolded before me and it wasn’t until the end that I fully understood how everything fit together. Thank you.
Alan, I loved it! And I went to your website and listened to more. One thing I am very grateful for is that today talented, inspired individuals can create, produce, and market their art/music globally. When I was in high school and college, artists really struggled to be discovered and get signed for albums and tours. Today, every artist has the opportunity to “discover” his/her inspirations and just sign on to the Internet to share it and “tour.” No one is left out. And I’m so glad to be a part of your music through time4thinkers.com. Blessing of success and joy and rhythm and harmony on your beautiful head!
Loved it Alan- co gratulations!!!!

What a big sound-picture you painted Alan.
The music tells the story.
from dark and heavy to light and free!
Thanks!
Yes that is it! When love replaces a feeling of heaviness and darkness the feeling that accompanies that is very uplifting and freeing. That is a lot of what this song is about!
This is awesome! Can’t wait to see The Wall and hear it and your other songs in context!
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it. Here is a link to a video that goes along with the song if you are interested. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGhuDGFBF3k&feature=plcp
