Song Title:

Satisfied (2012)

Lyrics:

Hesitation, guilt and hate
Not the things I want on my dinner plate

I know I'm "fed by Love alone"
but why is it so hard
To know dominion and control
are always of the Lord?

Teach me, oh God, to be satisfied with Thee
For You are my provider, always nourishing me

Help me hunger for your truth
in Thee I will confide
I'm ready now, for some food for thought
I cannot be denied

Sometimes it seems it's all on me
To know when to start and when to stop
But truly it's God, divine Principle,
who is nourishing me and guiding my heart

So, teach me, oh Lord, to be satisfied with Thee
for You are my provider, forever nourishing me

Help me hunger for Your word
in Thee I will confide,
I'm ready now, so fill my bowl
I cannot be denied

Thank you, God, for loving me
and feeding me with good
I cannot wait to go about my day
and be grateful for my food

For I am satisfied, oh God,
I am satisfied with Thee

My Father-Mother and provider,
I am satisfied with Thee

Oh, I am satisfied, oh God,
I am satisfied with Thee

Oh, I am satisfied, oh God,
I am satisfied with Thee

    Wow…Thanks Lauren!

I love to think about all of our substance and supply coming from God. That abundance does not mean excess, and that lack is never included in God’s plan for us. This song reminds me of the perfect balance we have in the infinite, abundant, love of God.

Thanks again for sharing! Keep it up!

    :) Summer

    Sister Lauren and Brother Phil,
Thank you for bringing this beautifully fresh track to our table. My favorite prayer from Proverbs:

“Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me” (Proverbs 30: 7-8).

    Amen, amen, amen! SATISFIED!
