Speakers

Ginny Luedeman, CSB
By age 16, Ginny had moved over 20 times. She dropped out of high school and became a mother at age 17. Her dad was an abusive alcoholic. The instability, abuse, and a deep conviction that there must be more to this life than what she was taught in her early religious training caused her to question and look deeply into what this life is all about. In the … Read more

Chet Manchester, CS
“So, what is your heart beating for?” was a question I faced in my late twenties. I was a struggling filmmaker in Los Angeles, experiencing some problems with my heart after a failed marriage and an unsuccessful business venture. On my mental knees in prayer, I opened to a passage in Mary Baker Eddy’s writings that instantly got my attention: “The heart that … Read more

How much of this will be available on line Live and what time(s)? Also will it be available on line after the event?
Hi Margaret!
in a few hours we will be posting a schedule of the items that you can listen to live online. Please check back later today.
Love
How can I get a replay of the NYC summit? I keep checking and do not see anything – unless I’m missing something.
Here’s one of the lectures:

Here’s another replay:

Some of the sessions will be streamed live and then posted for replay. We’re working on the schedule now and will get it up soon. We hope you can join us…if you’ve ever wanted to go to a Youth Summit but didn’t qualify, now’s your chance. ;)
Is this event still OK to proceed as planned despite the hurricane-related situation in NYC?
It is, Ben. We think the City needs our Summit more than ever. Will you be joining us?
Can you guys post that somewhere? I’ve heard a lot of people asking.
We’ll make a point of it in our Weekly Update! Thanks Ali.
Yes, I will be there. I registered at the end of September
Can you tell us more about the speakers?
Hi Elizabeth,
If you click on the speaker’s name, you will be directed to a new page with information about each of them.
:-)
Is it possible to make a financial contribution to help pay for lecturers serving at the Youth Summit?
Yes, Carol! You can contact me directly at rich...@csps.com. I’m on the NYC Summit committee.
I still can’t register on my end. I think you will have to do it for me. I will be coming with Dally Rivera. My name is Eileen case. We both will not need housing. We will be there for Saturday, since we can’t make it any other day. Thanks. I will pay you when I arrive. I can’t see how else to resolve this.
Eileen, someone will be in touch with you tomorrow. Our offices are closed over the weekend and the Summit team was out of the office on Friday.
Even if the mortal mind wants to delineate and discriminate, God does not. And if mortal mind persists in age-ism in the CS community, then there should be summits for other age groups too. I do not support that as a solution, just pointing out the lack of gatherings like this for other age groups if the CS community is stuck in this illusion. My mortal mind age is 47 and over the course of my life, I have dated and befriended people ranging from 8-19 years older than me and 5-27 years younger. Age is a number, an illusion. We are all Love, Light, Spirit. Wake up from age discrimination and the belief that younger people don’t want to be around older people or vice versa.
Why is there age discrimination in CS? This is so sad. And the speakers are not within the age range, so why are they invited, but others are excluded? Very sad and discriminatory.
Hi Anonymous,
If you check the schedule for this summit, you’ll see that there are activities that include people of all ages so please do join in for the two lectures (Friday and Saturday) and the hymn sing (Sunday).
There are Church Alive Summits that welcome everyone, too. Have you been to any of them?
Eileen, someone will contact you soon. We’ll help you get registered. :)
ok good because when i try to click on register now from where i am it doesn’t work.
I can’t register. I wanted to register early, but that didn’t work out tonight, the 18th. I don’t know if anyone can help with this problem. Thanks
I was wondering if it would be alright to bring a guest who is interested in Christian Science that is older than 35 years old with me to the Summit in Nyc.
This is Awesome, I am going to do my best to be there!
Hope you can make it Justin. It’s going to be great!
We have a really great line up, Katie. Hope to see you there!
Yay! So exciting. I hope to come to this.
